0725-61F/55F. Slept in a little, because I did not sleep well due to the cabin being a bit warm most of the night. It didn't cool off until the middle of the night. 68F to start and the best it got was 66F inside, 64F outside! I bit warm for sleeping. Got up twice due to "bumps" in the night! First I kicked the fire stick off the bed, forgot it was at the foot! Checked all around but nothing else.
Then a second time when a front passed the wind gusted and blew the shower tent on the stern around making a lot of racket. I had to go out and weigh it down with a pail full of water. I'm worried about the wind since it is directly on the starboard beam and the stern guy is not at a broad enough angle to provide good support to the stern with a really strong wind. Went back to bed, but worry, and the warmth kept me from sleeping soundly.
Cloudy, breeze about 10 kts from NW. Light mist. I will have to decide what to do for the day. Hiking Devil's Mountain, or flying the drone, is likely not going to happen!
0800-67F/55F. More normal temps after the front passed. Made coffee to drink while studying Job and I Kings again.
I wrote a note in the margin of my Bible regarding Job's unsympathetic friends: "the problem of relying on only what we see and presuming to know the answer! God had a purpose that did not fit the three friends understanding." This happens to all of us! Another perspective comes from my study in I Kings today where the Queen of Sheba comes in person to see Solomon, she says: "The report I heard in my own country about your achievements and your wisdom is true. But I did not believe these things until I came and saw with my own eyes. Indeed, not even half was told to me; in wisdom and wealth. You have far exceeded the report I heard." Jesus used her example to condemn the people of his own day who had not recognized that "one greater than Solomon" was in their midst (Mt 12:38-42, Lk 11:24-31). Sometimes we have to see to be sure, other times we can't be sure what we see!

1021-Decided to go ahead and use the bad weather day to move on to another overlook at Mt. Ferguson. I can come back to Devil's Mt. later, weather permitting. Departed the boat site heading north to Sandy Inlet on Ferguson Bay.

1415-Did some house cleaning, shook out the rugs, swept the floor. I then went out in the woods and cut down a nice 14 foot "push pole" to help push off a reef in case of grounding. Fits along the side deck just fine. Could have used one last year!

Now the floor is dirty again! Breeze is still up so no flying today! 66F/55F. Charging up systems, the Mavic battery pack, controller, Osmo Mobile 2, and phone. Too cloudy to put up the solar panel.
1500-Time to work on dinner. I sat in my chair and listened to my library audio book for a while, then switched to the paperback "Jackdaws". Still cloudy and breezy, but wind is slowly dropping. 66F/55F.
1600-Dinner was great again! Doing dishes and preparing equipment for the climb tomorrow. Taking out frozen meats to thaw, getting all dry mixes out for baking in the morning. 68F/55F.
1623-Dishes are done, time for my daily dessert!
1723-Listening to music, sipping some red wine with some chocolates. Getting more gear ready for the hike and drone flying. I plan to kayak over to the head of the trail where it leaves the creek. The plan is to hike up to the falls near there to check that out. Once I get to the mountain overlook I will try to fly the preplanned Litchi mission along with other videography. 70F/55F.
1854-68F/54F. Finished reading "Jackdaws" by Ken Follett, will begin Paul Doiron's "The Poachers Son". Will hit the sack early.
