0700-54F/49F. Heat is on, but crawled back under the down comforter and flannel sheets to stay warm while the heat comes up a little higher inside the cabin!

0730-Now 65F/48F.  Coffee and cookies for Bible study and prayer time.  I hope the rain stops for departure! But it is a good time to read.

I'm reading in the book of Job struggling to understand, as was Job, when God seems to withdraw and allow Satan full reign to harass and cause suffering yet without the benefit of encouragement. God is sometimes silent!  Instead Job's friends discourage him, criticize him, and try to find fault.  In contrast, I'm also reading in I Kings about the blessings God bestowed on Solomon, yet even more wealth and wisdom than Job!  Yet he turns away as he gets older, even though God appears to him twice!  Solomon had a lot of encouragement, Job had really none from family and friends, yet his faith remained steadfast.  Both began with good relationships with God, but only one prevailed.

0900-71F/50F. Finished study and prayer, so continued reading "Humans 2.0" by Faz Rana and Ken Samples; scientific, philosophical, & theological perspectives on transhumanism with special focus on AI and the post human threat to humans.  Quite the mouthful!

1045-67F/51F. Still raining but will go anyway!  Got to try out my new lightweight rain pants and also used my rubber boots on this trip for the first time.  I'm off for Devils Mountain!

1245-Lines secured at the new site at Devils Mountain.  Trip 9.3 nm (10.7 sm), 2:30 enroute, ave. spd. 3.7 kts (4.3 mph). Rain stopped just before arrival which helped during tie up. 68F/53F.

1330-When retrieving water for the shower bucket I discovered I left the swim ladder down from my swim yesterday! In spite of that I still had a good average speed.  Had to create quite a bit of extra drag though and additional potential for grounding.  Note to self: When finished swimming, pull the ladder immediately, don't wait until later, you'll forget!

A wet day! Lots of reading getting done!

1534-69F/56F. Light drizzle started up again.  Checked my drone Litchi mission previously planned on the PC at home and it is all set to go for tomorrow when weather is hopefully better?  Litchi missions allow the drone to fly autonomously to continue the mission route even if signal is lost with the controller.  An excellent piece of software!

1707-Read several chapters of Jackdaws by Ken Follett. About a group of British spies (all women) who helped destroy a key target in WWII, just prior to D-Day.

Put a potato on the grill. Prepared the beef roast and other fixins and the roll is ready to grill.

1940-Great dinner with red wine.  Washed dishes then took a shower on the aft deck.  A hot shower and fresh clothes are hard to beat when it is wet and chilly in camp. 73F/62F.  Put shower shelter away.  Time to enjoy evening dessert of red wine and chocolate covered almonds, while I listen to Pandora offline music.  Tomorrows plans are up for grabs? If it rains, I will not be able to hike the mountain or fly the drone, so I may move again?

2018-Started up the fire ring and sat around the fire, since everything is pretty wet, so no shore fire tonight.  The mosquitos began to harass, the glass of wine was empty, so, I put away the fire ring and pulled the gang plank to reduce the chances of unwanted critters boarding during the night! Will read in the sack for a while before dozing off.

Can enjoy the view and an evening by the fire, regardless of the weather!
