0810-Got the kayak and drone gear ready, while baking. Will read when coffee cake is finished. Partly sunny with a light breeze. 64F/52F.
0900-Put up solar panel on roof since the sun is now high enough.
1043-Finished reading. Winds gusting to 20 mph, so I will wait to kayak to the portage. 66F/50F. Will make blueberry pancakes with sausages for breakfast.
1130-Finished breakfast but still windy! Waiting for it to drop, not sure it will?
1200-Rigged the mount for the Osmo Mobile 2 handheld gimbal, using the phone (Samsung S9+) as the camera. Had to redo several times to get it to hold firmly and also ensure I could reach the controls from the seat of the kayak. 65F/52F. Debating whether to go for the portage over to Williams Lake against the wind, or wait until later? It is located on the north side of the adjacent Loon Bay to the west.

| Williams Lake Portage (150m) Bush whacked as you can see by my track! Almost got lost! (click to enlarge) |
Aching all over after the strenuous kayak trip against the wind, the trek through brush, nearly getting lost, and the delicate balancing act attempting to get ashore and back aboard without dumping me and the equipment in the mud or water! It was a challenge!
Some wine with nuts and chocolates are in order to hold me until I can prepare dinner.
1800-Baking a potato to have with a late T-bone steak dinner. Got the fire prepped and ready to light while waiting for the potato. Drone is ready to do a recon flight to check out the long portage over to Spawning Lake (790m).
1830-Dinner soon. Still breezy, so will hold on the drone recon until the wind drops. May have to wait until tomorrow?
Drone overflight looking for wildlife along river and portage to Spawning Lake (790m)
2221-Came in from the fire and listening to music (Pandora-Offline). There is a bright half moon.
